# Identifying a device by hardware ID

Your application can access detailed system information about the user's device through the [System - System Details](/deskifier/deskifier-bubble.io-docs/system-element/states.md#system-system-details) state. This object includes a variety of hardware-related data such as manufacturer details, system model, and other identifying information.

One of the most useful fields is the **UUID** object, which is generated based on the device's hardware configuration. \
\
This value can be used to uniquely identify a machine and can support features such as device-based access control, licensing, or tracking which devices are authorized to use your application.
